The Cemex concrete plant in San Martín de la Vega (Madrid) now features a new aggregate hopper, staircase and upgraded working platforms thanks to the work carried out by SOTECMA.

SOTECMA was selected for this concrete plant modernization project due to its extensive experience in the upgrading, modification, expansion, dismantling, relocation and assembly of existing facilities.

Work Carried Out at the Concrete Plant

The work performed included the design, manufacture and installation of an aggregate hopper to replace the original one, as well as the supply of a new staircase and new working platforms.

The project also included the modernization of the aggregate weighing system.

Every concrete product manufactured in Cemex plants (whether it is a standard concrete, a concrete designed with additional characteristics for specific applications, or a ready-mix concrete product) is produced under strict quality and environmental controls. In addition, it must comply with or exceed the standards established by the current regulations (EHE’08).
