Multi-Deck Screens

SOTECMA multi-deck screens are high-efficiency screening machines specifically designed for the classification of fine materials. Also known as probability screens or statistical screens, they provide one of the most effective solutions for achieving high production capacities and excellent screening efficiency in fine particle size applications.

Features of Multi-Deck Screens

The main features of SOTECMA multi-deck screens include:

• Linear vibration generated by two electric vibratory motors, providing greater vibration amplitude and a more dynamic motion, increasing screening efficiency while reducing the risk of screen blinding.
• Machines with up to six screening decks, with the option of incorporating technical decks to improve screening performance. These additional decks reduce the material bed depth, resulting in higher screening efficiency.
• Completely enclosed design that prevents dust emissions, with the option of incorporating a dust extraction connection.
• Integrated vibrating oversize and fines discharge chutes, improving material flow and overall equipment performance.
• Rear screen tensioning system that allows fast and easy screen replacement. Individual screen meshes can be replaced without dismantling the upper decks.
• Especially suitable for screening fine materials smaller than 3 mm, down to 200 microns.
• Optional anti-blinding systems using chains or rubber balls/tubes, depending on the screen opening.
• Material distribution system at the feed inlet to make full use of the screening surface from the very beginning of the process. The distributor may be integrated into the screen or supplied as an independent vibrating feeder.

The range is available in long versions measuring 2.4 m and short versions measuring 1.3 m. Models driven by a single vibratory motor with elliptical motion are also available in the 1.3 m version. Screen widths range from 500 to 2,500 mm, allowing the equipment to be adapted to the requirements of each installation.

SOTECMA multi-deck screens are specially designed for the dry screening of fine and ultra-fine materials. Their high screening efficiency makes them the ideal solution for applications requiring precise particle separation with high production capacities.

They are widely used in the production of specialty sands for the construction materials industry, particularly in dry mortar plants. They are also suitable for screening gypsum, lime, clinker, industrial minerals, fertilizers, chemical products, salt, sugar and other powdered or granular materials requiring fine or ultra-fine separations.
