All industrial processes, including every installation designed by SOTECMA, require an electrical control system managed by an automatic control system that coordinates the start-up, operation and shutdown of every piece of equipment within the plant.

Virtually all plants designed and supplied by SOTECMA are fully automated using software developed by our own engineering team. This approach ensures maximum reliability, optimises equipment performance and eliminates the need for third-party programming that could compromise the overall operation of the process.

In dosing and weighing applications, automation is essential to guarantee high accuracy, repeatable formulations and consistent product quality.

For large industrial facilities such as dry mortar plants, concrete plants and mineral processing plants, process control is based on industrial PLCs from leading manufacturers such as Schneider Electric and Siemens. Plant supervision and operation are carried out through dual-screen operator workstations equipped with SCADA systems or equivalent industrial control software.

For smaller installations or equipment operating in environments with high levels of dust, contamination or elevated temperatures, operator interaction is provided through rugged industrial touch-screen panels specifically designed for harsh industrial conditions.

Electrical Engineering and Automation Services

SOTECMA has a specialised Electrical Engineering and Industrial Automation Department that not only develops the electrical systems for our own plants but also provides engineering services and technical support for industrial facilities designed and installed by third parties.

Our team delivers complete solutions for the design, programming, installation, maintenance and upgrading of electrical and control systems for a wide range of industrial processes.

Our main services include:

• Low-voltage electrical engineering, including project design, site supervision and electrical schematics developed using engineering software such as EPLAN, together with field installation drawings.
• PLC and SCADA programming using leading automation platforms such as Schneider Electric and Siemens, ensuring easy future upgrades, modifications and spare parts availability.
• Low-voltage field electrical installations, including cable routing, overhead and underground cable trays, conduits and the complete connection of industrial equipment.
• Design and manufacture of low-voltage motor control and protection panels for the control, protection and power supply of motors, drives and industrial machinery.
• Electrical maintenance services for industrial plants, with particular expertise in construction materials plants, mineral processing facilities, recycling plants and waste treatment installations.
• Technical training for plant operators delivered by engineers with more than 25 years of experience in industrial automation, particularly for concrete plants, dry mortar plants, soil-cement plants and mineral processing facilities.
