Horizontal Silos

SOTECMA designs and manufactures horizontal silos for the storage and dosing of bulk solid materials, particularly suitable for powdered or fine-grained products.

These units are the ideal solution where the available height does not allow the installation of a conventional vertical silo, or where the logistics of the process require loading the material at the production site and dosing it at the point of use.

Features of Horizontal Silos

Horizontal silos provide a practical and efficient solution for installations with limited headroom, offering the following features:

• Quick installation.
• No special permits or installation licences required.
• Compartmentalized design available.
• Storage capacity from 25 to 35 m³.
• Available as stationary, transportable or semi-trailer-mounted mobile units.
• Equipped with screw conveyor extraction systems.

They can also be manufactured in stainless steel and optionally fitted with dust collection filters.

Horizontal Silos with Dosing Systems

When equipped with dosing systems, they can be configured as:

• Continuous volumetric dosing using a rotary valve distributor for the controlled addition of lime or cement in soil stabilization applications.
• Batch gravimetric dosing, either through a weighing hopper or by direct discharge, specially designed for loading cement into self-loading concrete mixers.
