Cone Crushers

SOTECMA cone crushers are designed for industrial mineral processing and aggregate crushing applications. They are intended for secondary and tertiary crushing stages and feature a Heavy Duty design that ensures outstanding performance when processing hard and highly abrasive materials.

Our Cone Crushers

The SOTECMA cone crusher range is available in different configurations to meet a wide variety of production and particle size requirements.

  • Secondary cone crushers: accept feed sizes of up to 300 mm, producing a final product of approximately 0–75 mm, with capacities of up to 500 t/h.
  • Tertiary cone crushers: designed for feed sizes of up to 80 mm, producing a final product of approximately 0–25 mm, with capacities of up to 200 t/h.

Features of Cone Crushers

SOTECMA cone crushers feature a double-supported main shaft, with upper and lower bearings that provide maximum mechanical stability and long service life.

  • Hydraulic setting adjustment system that regulates the crusher opening by vertically moving the main shaft and mantle assembly.
  • Hydraulic overload protection that allows uncrushable objects to pass through the crushing chamber without damaging the crusher.
  • Crushing chamber lined with high manganese steel wear liners for maximum durability and wear resistance.
  • Optional control software for automatic regulation of the feeder and crusher setting, optimising product quality and reducing energy consumption.
  • Highly efficient production of manufactured sand and aggregates with low operating costs and reduced wear part consumption.

Thanks to their high efficiency, robust construction and easy adjustment, SOTECMA cone crushers are the ideal solution for aggregate plants, mining operations and industrial mineral processing facilities.

Types of Cone Crushers

There are two main cone crusher designs: suspended-shaft cone crushers and supported-shaft cone crushers, each developed to suit different crushing applications.

Suspended-shaft cone crushers, similar in design to gyratory crushers, feature an upper spider that supports the main shaft. This configuration provides a predominantly horizontal crushing action and a steep crushing chamber, promoting efficient material flow and delivering excellent performance in primary and secondary crushing applications.

Supported-shaft cone crushers, commonly known as Symons cone crushers, have a main shaft supported on spherical bearings through the moving cone assembly. This design allows a wider cone angle, typically between 90° and 125°, resulting in higher crushing capacity and outstanding performance in secondary and tertiary crushing stages.
