Background and Customer Requirements

GRUPO EVITA was established in 2009, coinciding with the construction boom in Equatorial Guinea. The company initially provided collection, treatment and export services for hazardous waste by land and sea to the neighbouring Republic of Cameroon.

In 2010, the Transport and Logistics division was created, acquiring a large fleet of flatbed trucks for road freight transport. Between 2010 and 2013, more than 3,000 containers were transported from the port of Bata to inland locations throughout Equatorial Guinea.

In 2013, during the latest Board of Directors meeting held in Bata, it was decided, among other measures, to invest 70% of the company’s profits in its expansion and growth plan, allocate 20% to dividend distribution and reserve the remaining 10% for contingency funds.

The expansion plan included the acquisition of a concrete plant, equipment for a stone quarry operation, asphalt equipment, trucks, dump trucks, concrete mixers, precast concrete machinery and earthmoving equipment.

Solutions, Equipment and Installations

The customer required a 15 t/h mortar plant mainly intended for the production of coloured tile adhesive mortars. The final product was to be supplied in palletized bags.

The installation consists of the following equipment:

• 4 silos of 42 m³.
• Silo supporting structure.
• 7 screw conveyors.
• 1 aggregate and cement scale.
• 3 micro dosing units.
• 1 mixer of 600 litres.
• 1 buffer hopper.
• 1 bagging machine.
• 1 belt conveyor.

The services provided by SOTECMA included project engineering, manufacturing and installation supervision.
